"You can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you."
Alpha Phi is the first fraternity to form its own Foundation! Since 1946, Alpha Phi has focused on heart disease and cardiac care as our philanthropic priority. In 1956, the Alpha Phi Foundation was formed and has made women's cardiac care a priority in the lives of many young women. As a chapter, we have carried on this priority with a myriad of philanthropies.
Alpha Phi Blood Drive
"Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something" which is what we believe here at the Beta Rho Chapter. This is why we hold a blood drive during fall and spring semester. Every student on campus is encouraged to participate and give blood to a patient in need!
Why wait every four years to watch the Winter Olympics when you could hold your own?! In the fall we hold our annual "Winter Olympics" with the fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon. In this joint philanthropy, members from other chapters participated in skits, serenades and even curling!
In the spring semester, we take "March Madness" to a whole new level! Any students of Washington State and University of Idaho may participate in this basketball tournament. The basketball team who makes it to the championship has the opportunity to play against our own Washington State Cougar Men's Basketball team!
Red Dress Gala
The "Little Black Dress" was made famous by Coco Chanel but Alpha Phi has replaced the LBD with the "Little Red Dress" during Alpha Phi's most popular philanthropy, Red Dress Gala. Our chapter holds this during Mom's Weekend during Spring Semester. Our sisters and their Moms enjoy a catered dinner and auction, while all the proceeds go to Alpha Phi Foundation.
